Prayers by Rev. Sebastien Groleau [8]

Although the reality is such that we cannot meet again for a few weeks, let us take the time to pray for one another. At the level of the Catholic faith, the Salt and Light network presents a whole range of good programs, well prepared and well done.

NEWS:

Message from Rev. Sebastien Groleau May 24, 2020:

Mass and Weekly Prayers on our Facebook page
Well, this is a big leap of faith for me! Mass on Facebook…
This weekend we will be recording the Mass on Saturday and if all goes well, it will be available on our Facebook page [11] on Sunday morning, starting at 9 am. If all goes well, we might upgrade to a LIVE Facebook Mass [11] in the near future. If you happen to meet her out there in the virtual world, thank Liz for her persistence and encouragement. Because of crowd limitations and social distancing, we will keep it to 5 people in the church.
There has been no updates regarding the crowd limitations from the provincial government. Until we hear from the Premier and receive the green light from local authorities, we will continue to pray together from a distance.
Thank you to Fr. Praveen for his weekly message. It is greatly appreciated.
I intend to continue to bring you a short time of reflection on Monday mornings, at least for the time being.
On this Feast of the Ascension, let us ponder these words of Pope Francis:

“The Church’s mission is the work of the Holy Spirit and not the consequence of our ideas and projects.”

March 17, 2020:

Following Premier Ford’s latest announcement this morning to stem the spread of COVID-19, Bishop R. Bourgon wishes to contribute to this common public health effort and act in solidarity with the civil authorities. Consequently, he is announcing the immediate adoption of the following directives until March 31, 2020. Please select the link below for these directives for our Diocese.

[18]Please find below the link to a letter addressed to all faithful from the Holy Father for the month of May, issued on 25 April 2020. In this encouraging letter, Pope Francis invites everyone to pray the Rosary at home and offers two prayers to be recited at its conclusion.

Vatican News provides the full text of Pope Francis’ Letter on the Month of May, and the two prayers which one can recite at the end of the Rosary, and that Pope Francis will personally pray in the month of May, in spiritual union with all of you.  These prayers along  with Pope Francis’ letter are available to everyone on the following Vatican News website [19]
